Wrapping up 2021

4 December 10– 4pm, 2021

Since both vaccinated & unvaccinated people can attend this retreat we require knowing your vaccination status (it's on our booking form) so others can make an informed decision about their attendance. As an extra precaution we will be asking people to wear masks AND we will have no more than 1 person per 4 square metre - even if the government changes this to 1 per 2sq metres.

2021 is nearly finished, some say-with relief. It's been another covid interrupted year and...

It would be great before planning for a new year to reflect on the one that’s been!

When Donald Schön wrote his book on reflection in 1987 he probably didn't realise how far reaching his ideas would go- health care, teaching, students, designers, researchers, business, leadership, the list is long of areas where they recognise and try to embed reflective practice. If you want to read how reflecting is good for us visit here.

As the year rolls to a close, join us for contemplative

exercises to reflect on & review the year with an

attitude of gratitude, freeing & equipping us to look ahead.

During this facilitated day we will spend time doing things that some of the world's best leaders do:

Reflecting on the year as it passes,

                                                                                             Expressing gratitude for good things,

                                                                                   Acknowledging difficulties in 2021,

Reflect & focus on your values,

Saying goodbye to the year that has been,

Being ready for 2022-  to plan, to say 'yes' to some things and 'no' to others,  ready for whatever the next year throws out & free to dream.

"I believe that evaluated reflection turns experience into insight" John Maxwell (https://www.1africa.tv/looking-back-over-my-shoulder/)

A gratitude practice trains the brain to be more in tune with experiencing gratitude — a positive plus a positive, equal more positives. https://positivepsychology.com/benefits-of-gratitude/

At this retreat day we'll also ready for the year ahead, not to plan, but to clarify each persons core values.

If this resonates for you, then put aside this one day to join us to take stock before rushing into the Christmas season & be more ready to meet a new year.
