Fosterton Retreat

208 Moylans Road,

Fosterton

Gather at Fosterton House. While the native birds find their way home, you drink in the spectacular sunset view overlooking the beautiful Barrington Tops National Park.

Perfect for:

Experience uninterrupted relaxation with peace and quiet: swim in the modern pool or take a picnic and swim in the flowing Williams River 2.5kms away; take leisurely walks, maybe to the pristine “Die Happy” creek, or just relax in the room set aside for games.

Have a facilitated team building weekend or run your own, with a lounge area large enough for a group gathering and different areas around the house for breakout groups or reflection.

Set amongst 100 acres of rolling country side the House offers 5 spacious bedrooms, easily room for up to 14 people. Swim looking over the valley in our modern swimming pool or sit at night around our large outdoor firepit.

Some environmental things....

RECYCLING: Since we try to be environmentally friendly there are no plastic bags for recycling- please use your own boxes or bags and recycle as much as you can. Dungog has a return and earn which is on the outskirts of town just after the 'Hollywood' sign. The money can be cashed in at the IGA in town.

GARBAGE BAGS: We try to buy either compostable or recycled plastic garbage bags for use in all the accommodation.

LINEN: When white /pillow cases/sheets/towels get marks on them we scrub them, sun bleach them and if we have to, use chemical bleach (as little as possible), Sometimes this is not enough, so if they are still in good condition we dye them, using rusty objects- Yes we rust-dye them. It is intentional and it can be fun to look for the patterns left by the rusty objects (bicycle chains, wire baskets etc) we have kept for this purpose. They are washed and made soft before used. We personally wear rust- dyed clothes, use rust-dyed linen in our own home as well.

“Great place. With the long weekend approaching we sought a getaway removed from urban sprawl. An easy 3hr+ drive from Sydney through some beautiful countryside - the place is well kept, secluded and has all the creature comforts you could need for a few days stay. We're a fan and we'll be back. ”- Doug
