Couples Retreat
Choosing Love
5-7 April 2024
For those who want to strengthen their relationship.

This is not a 5-star pamper weekend but it is making time to focus on your relationship while away in a beautiful place.

We might not be the most usual looking couple and neither are we the most-usual sounding one. Because when asked how long we've been together Max says "38 years and still learning." And both parts of that are true.

This retreat is for any couple who want to prioritise, keep learning and deepening their relationship. With a basis in Choice Theory Reality Therapy, and a belief that our relationships matter, the focus will be on practical, proven exercises, (many we use) which you can have a go at.

Some years ago a friend said "I'm ashamed to say, I'm a success in every area of my life except my marriage- it's a mess." As a result, despite the areas of success, they were really struggling in life.

We have learnt so much from others, and each other over the years. We want to help equip people, who like us want to keep working at this core relationship.

“Happy, successful long-term couples make more positive statements then negative ones about each other at a ration of five to one."

David Schnarch, "Passionate Marriage" Page 359

“Prayer is not asking. It is a longing of the soul. It is daily admission of one's weakness. It is better in prayer to have a heart without words than words without a heart.”  ― Mahatma Gandhi
